Rebecca is a freelance adventure travel writer based in Rutland. She spent eight years working full time in publishing on various magazines before going freelance in 2007. Freelancing highlights have included articles for national newspapers such as The Independent as well as London’s TNT, Sport Diver, Rutland’s Embrace and Exclusive magazines, and chapter contributions to the book Dive; The Ultimate Guide. She is on the panel of regular contributors for Outdoor Enthusiast Magazine working as the Deputy Editor, and she is the Editor of an outdoor trade magazine OE Retailer.

Alternative transport

As well as travel writing, Rebecca has also interviewed many personalities most recently presenter of BBC’s Spring Watch Kate Humble, six times Everest conqueror Kenton Cool, the world class rock climber and base jumper Tim Emmett and Ewan McGregor’s partner in the TV documentary Long Way Down, Charley Boorman.

Rebecca’s thirst for adventure has seen her travel the world and recent highlights have seen her camp her way up to the summit of Kilimanjaro, canoe across the Ontario Great Lakes, jet ski to the Arctic Circle, scuba dive between the continental plates in Iceland and back country ski across the remote plateaus of Norway.
